Always Vintage

Vintage lighting gives a new house
an old soul.

Need inspiration or a jumping off point for a design? GO TO THE FLEA MARKET!
I can’t stress this enough party people.  Think your design project is too modern or contemporary and doesn't support any vintage? Then think again.

“The House Best Friends Built” is no exception to this “always vintage” rule. On our hunt for inspiration, we hit the vintage lighting mother load on a magical Sunday at the Rose Bowl Flea Market. These timeless classics ended up being our launching point for the entire home's lighting plan.

Master Bath Finds: These handsome deco era aged porcelain sconces had to be ours the moment we saw them. With their charming little chrome and porcelain pull chains-it was love at first sight.
We paired these gents with an ultra sexy, sleek, glossy and bossy deco porcelain shade with it’s original shade holder. And used a Rejuvenation cord lamp kit to light that sister up!

So get your hands dirty, and your imaginations running, hunt, pick, find then bring the magic. And stay "plugged in” for more vintage lighting schemes from the house that best friends built. The boys bath and laundry room are coming at you next.

Vintage Field Manuel tips:
Definitely ask your seller to plug something in for you.  If it’s hardwired and/or that’s not an option don’t sweat it, a good electrician can fix and/or re-wire anything.
